RealShare Healthcare Real Estate conference series was in Scottsdale, Arizona December 2nd & 3rd. There were over 400 in attendance. The beautiful resort and amazing weather offered a great opportunity for those in healthcare to grab a drink and listen and participate in enlightening panel discussions.

The panel discussions consisted of the following: Capital Update: Availability & Allocations, Healthcare Systems Consolidations: Strategies, Solutions and Opportunities and New Trends in Marketing & Leasing to name a few. Kathleen Morgan in the Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Phoenix office was a panelist on the New Trends in Marketing & Leasing. She spoke of how landlords in the Phoenix market work closely with hospital systems as they continue to purchase medical practices and navigate the real estate the hospital systems inherit when buying medical practices. In the Phoenix market landlords are successful in leasing their space with the goal of working with the hospital to help them with their real estate requirements. This includes being flexible on lease term, tenant improvement allowance and rights of first refusal. Medical practices are still drawn to real estate that offers the practice the space and layout needed, signage, and ample parking for patients.

Along with the panel discussions, RealShare allows real estate healthcare professionals to meet on a national level and compare trends in different markets. Hope to see you in 2016 in Scottsdale.
